Dr. Aly Taylor
Dr. Aly Taylor is a wife, mom, and family therapist. While completing her PhD studies in Marriage and Family Therapy, Aly was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She then decided to write her dissertation about her cancer experience and how it affected her family. Now, 3 1/2 years cancer-free, Aly shares her miracle story all over the nation. She since has struggled with infertility and recently adopted a baby girl, Genevieve, who is now 4 months old. She has been married to her husband, Josh for nine years and is employed in West Monroe, Louisiana as a school counselor, as well as an adjunct professor for Liberty University. John C. Buckner, MA
John C. Buckner received his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He currently works at Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy as the Dean of Students, and has a small private practice. His life mission is to bring health, peace, and strength to others by helping people know themselves, choose themselves, be themselves and give themselves. John loves to write about personal growth, positive psychology, relationships, and leadership topics. He enjoys working out, reading great books, reading to his 5 kids, and having intellectual conversations.
Dr. Sofia Georgiadou
Sofia Georgiadou completed her MA and PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in May 2009 and August 2012 respectively. Her doctoral dissertation research was a grounded theory study of participants’ experiences in group workshops on Bert Hellinger’s family constellation work. Sofia has worked as a Behavioral Health Services Provider at Houston Area Community Services, and as an Adjunct Professor for Our Lady of the Lake University Masters in Counseling Psychology Program.
